Inquisitor minds want to know.

Posted on Mon Oct 7th, 2024 @ 7:47am by Captain Louise ValliƩre & Lieutenant Commander Kerr Avon

1,206 words; about a 6 minute read

Mission: Anubis Rises
Location: Bridge / Ready Room
Timeline: Concurrent

The turbo Lift doors opened and Avon stepped out, the uniform trimmed to size; boot shined along with black rope around his belt live with arrow tip buckle and black gauntlets with small decorative but effective spikes. The Agonizer behind the Commando style stiletto with modified pain stick on the opposite left side.

Walking down towards the Demure figure of the Captain, stopping behind and to the left side.

'Captain, a word." He gesture to the ready Room.

Louise turned away from the mission operations console she was using. SHe crossed her arms and gave this new arrival a frown. "This better be quick. I've got a ship to get out of drydock hell..." she told him sharply.

"Standing there are you trying be cute or intimidating?" Looking slightly down at her nearly a foot shorter. "Neither one making this faster," He remained offering her to lead to the Ready Room.

"Fine..." she said with an exparasted sigh. "If its so important, then in the ready room." she told him as she strode across the bridge confidently.

Avon followed her with his neutral expression close until they had entered the Ready Room and the doors closed behind them. The a good side step and he drew her close and planted a passionate kiss upon her ; lifting slightly by the bum.

"I'm Back." He winked with that sly grin.

"About damn time..." Louise said flashing him a small smile. "I thought you'd never arrive. Where have you been exactly?" she asked.

"Following my orders through to assure I am yours." Appreciating her smile as always. "Getting the Toy Box transferred to the ship was not easy."

Rolling her eyes Louise stepped away from him and walked over towards the large windows that looked out into space. "So. Did you find anything on your journey here?" she asked curiously. "Anything that I should know as your Captain?"

"You might want to keep more of an eye on the OPS Logistics section ; typical dime store market skimming over orders to trade for themselves." He stode to stand to her left and gaze out the portal also. "No broken rules so if you want I will leave it alone, as they promised me sparkles if I let them be?"

"I can't blame them. Its a dog eat dog galaxy out there." Louise said. "But, we're here to stay now. There's no turning back, not for our species and not for the Empire. Frankly, Terran's have suffered enough, its time for some serious payback." she told him referring to the ship they were standing on.

"You have that right." Resting a hand on her shoulder as supportive offering. "And I got your back through it all."

He met her eyes.

You still like earrings right?" He asked casually.

"Only for fancy occasions." Louise replied simply. "But, on a starship its pretty much uniform all the time." she said.

"That is why you are hard to shop for." He poked with a stoic expression.

"I don't need fancy jewelry or expensive items," Louise said as she turned away from the window to face him. She placed one hand on her hip and the other remained at her side. "What I need is loyal soldiers who will do what I tell them to. To the very end if necessary."

"For you or against you." He shrugged, "You know what category I enforce."

For the Empire," Louise told him. "And lets be honest, we need every Terran to retake what was once ours." She reached up and cupped his cheek. "So don't be going off and doing anything stupid like you sometimes do." her tone of voice changing to more sweeter, caring and loving.

"Perish the thought. I was going to take a walkabout in Engineering; you know to assure your ship's power ."

Louise groaned. "Have you seen who's down there?!" she asked. "Our new Chief Engineer and I don't see eye to eye... So to speak..."

"Few do..." Giving a sly smirk. "I might have better luck in that manner of speaking,"

"Hah!" she scoffed in return. "She doesn't know how to talk to anyone unless she's inviting them into her damn bed!" she paused for a moment. "But, she's the only person who knows this ship... I can't get rid of her. Even if we do have bad blood."

"Speaking of bedding." Avon remarked. I could get an office for the Toy Box or A bed of my own." The sly grin widened. "Can you help with that One?"

"Don't you think it would be a bit awkward seeing the Head Inquisitor leaving the quarters of the Captain on a morning?" Louise asked plainly. "Not that I mind of course. But people talk you know, and talk is dangerous. Very dangerous."

'Did I not tell you the nice Site to Site Transporter Operator that Offered to help me out in the morning because he is so loyal to you?" Avon winked.

Louise crossed her arms. "What are you paying him huh?" she narrowed her eyes at him for a brief second. "Like seriously though, you know my rules. Nothing serious, just good fun every now and again. I'm a Captain here now, and I have to command of the most powerful ships in the fleet. I can't afford..." she looked him up and down. "Sexy distractions..." she blushed. "At least, not every day..."

"I was thinking just 'A' fond reunion and the Captain rears her head for our fun time tonight; I was even going to bring dinner." He assured. "You did ask me where I have been exactly while I spent 'Days' getting over here." He teased a little.

She let out another sigh. "Anyways. Your role here. Is it what we requested?" she asked.

"I am what I have always been." He pointed to her console. "If you check your console it will verify the transfer."

"I have a yeoman for that..." Louise replied. "Apparently, when he/she turns up." she let out a small sigh. "I've been running around like a headless chicken just trying to get this ship ready for battle. I was told that it should have been ready, but that bitch of a Chief Engineer has run into 'complications' apparently..."

Moving slightly behind her he rubbed her shoulders as he knew she liked,

"You are too stiff; need a Nuvian to fully untangle you." He chuckled and pressed harder to get some knots out.

"Not likely." Louise scoffed. "Twenty fingers and they actually prefer being under the scum of Cardassian Rule. They might be the best masseuses in the galaxy, but they always choose the wrong side."

"I did learn half the art as I have Ten fingers." He nuzzled the neck and left a light kiss. "You are too upset and tense for help."

He backed away and headed for the door.

"Sign my transfer and See you tonight." He comment just before the door opened and let him exit.

Louise turned to speak to him again, but he had already left. "He goes as fast as he comes..." she sighed to herself. "I guess I'll get that paperwork done then..."
